This family has been with me since I started my newborn photography journey. After doing a posed newborn session for their 2nd child I went back at 2 months old to capture some more lifestyle moments and moments of motherhood. Baby stretches, snuggles, breastfeeding, and ended on a big family hug!
I have 2 sneak peeks today. The first is an 8 day old newborn boy. I met the big sister to this little guy just over a year and half ago. She sure is in love with her baby brother. Just look at his beautiful black hair and his sister has a gorgeous smile like her momma. If you don't notice yet the second sneak peek is of my new logo/watermark. More to come with that and the rebranding of my website. Slowly coming but I hope to have it finished soon.
I shared a sneak peek of this little newborn, and wanted to come back and share my favorites. He was a sweet boy and usually I complete a session in 3-4 hours. Due to some time constraints I got to go back the day after to finish up and get some more basket shots, which I don't do very often. I enjoyed doing a little something out of my comfort zone, but he actually seemed to like posing in the basket more so then the beanbag, he made it very easy.
Please note that all Basket shots were composites (more then one photo combined together in photoshop for the final result) and momma had a hand on her newborn at all times.
I enjoy working with every little baby that I meet. Stella is the sweetest and prettiest newborn. She was wide awake for most of the session but so very content and happy! Stella loved being swaddled and did eventually fall asleep for me. So Stella meet world, world meet Stella!
FAVORITE IMAGE OF 2014
This newborn picture of my daughter is one of my favorites for 2014, obviously ;) It can be difficult for a photographer to do a newborn session for their own child because the baby is going to smell mommy and want to be fed more often. To make it easy on myself I set expectations low and I had all my gear set out for days, the bean bag, the blankets, the wraps, etc... When I had a little bit of time here and there I would do mini shoots. I loved it and took the pressure off of me to do it all in one sitting!!
