Love & Support - A Birth Story

eeekkk!  I am so excited to share this Birth Story with you.  A day after last months post about waiting patiently, my client went into labor!

It is definitely hard for some people to understand why on earth I would want to document a Birth...  I wish I had the words to explain for me how amazing it is.  Not only how amazing it is to witness a new life being brought into this world but also to witness how much love and support there was for this momma and baby.  I hope that you are able to see the love in these images!  It's what I strive for!

A Glimpse of an Albany Birth Story

I'm not sure how to start this post. Less then 24 hours ago I photographed my first birth story. There are so many emotions I feel right now, it is an amazing high I don't know if I'll come down from. I have 4 of my own babies and especially with my last birth I feel lots of regret for not hiring a birth photographer to be there. Erika's son was in Pre-K with my daughter and it took a lot of courage for me to finally ask her if she would allow me to photograph her birth. I was so excited when her and her husband said YES!

Erika is a rockstar momma. And after spending time with her and her family today I learned her granddad's nickname for her is "ROCKY", and well it's fitting because she is one tough momma in the birthing room (not to mention gorgeous)!! Her third birth, second as a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), was so quick that I almost missed it.

So much I want to say, it was so hard to pick one to share that I'm sharing 10 now, until I get through the oh 500 or so I took...

Thank you Erika and congratulations on your newest baby boy!
